A number of teams are lining up to pitch to Carmelo Anthony after the New York Knicks player revealed that he would test free agency when the market opens on July 1.
The Chicago Bulls are widely regarded as the early favourites after sources claimed that the organisation had been quietly planning their pursuit for months.
However, the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers, Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat are all expected to play a role in the race to sign Anthony, ESPN reports.
The 30-year-old has previously insisted that he would be willing to take a pay cut if the Knicks are able to strengthen their roster for next season.
