NBA Draft prospect Joel Embiid has suffered a broken foot, specialists have confirmed.
Reports did the rounds on Thursday that the Kansas Jayhawks forward had injured his foot, with his agent now confirming that the player has fractured the navicular bone in his right foot.
Embiid is to undergo surgery on Friday to repair the stress fracture, though he will now not be able to work out for any teams prior to the Draft, which he will not attend as he bids to recover from the operation.
The injury could potentially impact on the order of selection when teams attempt to sign this year's most promising youngsters on June 26.
