NBA roundup: Philadelphia 76ers put an end to 26-game losing streak

Sports Mole brings you a roundup of Saturday night's NBA action as the Philadelphia 76ers finally end their torrid 26-game losing streak.

The Philadelphia 76ers have ended their 26-match losing streak as they overcame the Detroit Pistons with a monumental 123-98 win at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday night.

The victory has ensured that the 76ers are now tied on the longest run of defeats in the history of the game, remaining level with the Cleveland Cavaliers, who went barren for 26 encounters in the 2010-2011 season.

The hosts were led by Thaddeus Young and Michael Carter-Williams, who scored 21 points each, while Henry Sims added 16 points for the hosts.

In Houston, Chris Paul was the star of the night as he collected 30 points, 12 assists and three steals to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to a crushing 118-107 victory over the Houston Rockets.

Jamal Crawford was also impressive having scored 14 of his 22 points in the second half, as the Clippers got past an early exit for All-Star Blake Griffin away from home at the Toyota Center.

The Dallas Mavericks now hold a home winning streak of 20 games against the Sacramento Kings after they ran out 103-100 winners at the American Airlines Center.

The Mavs were led by no fewer than six players who got into double figures, with Dirk Nowitzki the pick of the bunch, scoring 19 points for Dallas.

The Miami Heat reached the 50-win mark as they kept the Milwaukee Bucks to a disappointingly low score with a 88-67 victory at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, with Chris Bosh among five players to reach double figures.

John Wall was the standout performer for the Washington Wizards as he led them to a 101-97 defeat of the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, with the All-star player notching 25 points for his team.

Finally, in Texas, the San Antonio Spurs won their 17th game in a row by beating the New Orleans Pelicans 96-80 in order to continue their longest winning streak while under the remit of Tim Duncan and Gregg Popovich out on the court.
