Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge has praised the fighting spirit shown by his side as they beat the Houston Rockets 122-120 in overtime on Sunday night.
The Blazers took a 1-0 playoff series lead thanks to the center, who produced a playoff-franchise-record 46 points, as well as a post-season, career-high 18 rebounds at the Toyota Center.
"I thought every guy fought, every guy took it personal," Aldridge told reporters after the encounter.
"Every guy took every matchup personally. That was my goal. I just want us to have a chip on our shoulder."
The teams are due to meet again for Game Two on Wednesday at the same venue.
