After being allowed to leave the Chicago Bulls as an unrestricted free agent this summer, Marco Belinelli has revealed that the opportunity to play for the San Antonio Spurs was one he gladly took.
The Italian star is currently on duty at the Euro Basket tournament, but has revealed that he couldn't say no when the Spurs were interested in signing him.
"I think it's one of the best teams or may the best team in the NBA, they have a great organization, a great coach. I will improve my game and try to help the team to win the championship," he said, according to HoopsHype.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has often been lauded for his style of play and the European influence his team possesses.
