San Antonio Spurs seal Kawhi Leonard, David West deals

The San Antonio Spurs conclude new deals for both Kawhi Leonard and veteran David West as they aim to mount an NBA championship challenge next season.

The San Antonio Spurs have sealed contract agreements with both Kawhi Leonard and veteran David West.

West is due to spend a year at the AT&T Center after turning down a deal with the Indiana Pacers, while forward Leonard's terms have not been disclosed by the franchise.

Leonard was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year last season, as the 24-year-old led the league with the most steals.

Both extensions could prove pivotal for the Spurs, who will be looking to push for a sixth NBA championship next campaign.
