Kenneth Faried scored 22 points as the Denver Nuggets secured a 98-94 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in a pre-season clash at the Pepsi Center on Monday night.
Half of Faried's points came in the fourth quarter as the Nuggets edged out an under-strength Spurs, who had opted to leave Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker at home.
Randy Foye and JJ Hickson each added 15 points for Denver, while Kawhi Leonard contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds for San Antonio.
The Nuggets now visit Oklahoma City this evening, before completing their pre-season schedule with trips to the Los Angeles Clippers and the Chicago Bulls, either side of a home clash with the Phoenix Suns.
