Washington Wizards star Glen Rice Jr has suffered a fractured wrist and will now require surgery.

The injury is expected to keep him sidelined for the next three to six weeks as he recovers, after he sustained it during the win over the New York Knicks.

"He got hurt in the celebration. Don't ask me, I don't know what it is. We can't catch a break. He got it jammed or something in the jubilation," coach Randy Wittman told reporters.

Although Rice has been used sparingly so far this season, it is an unfortunate setback for the Wizards.
