Bulgaria's Detelin Dalakliev has advanced to the second round of the Olympic bantamweight tournament courtesy of a comfortable victory over Ayabonga Sonjica of South Africa.
Sonjica had no answer to Dalakliev's superior skills in the opening two rounds, as the Bulgarian took the initiative from the off.
Dalakliev was guilty of taking his foot off the gas in the third as the South African looked to eat into his eight-point deficit by landing a few decent shots.
However, that lapse in concentration did not cost the 29-year-old, who eventually triumphed 15-6.
