'Missing' Olympic boxing team found in London

The Cameroon boxing team that fled from the Olympic village are discovered in South East London.

The Cameroon Olympic boxing team have been discovered in South East London, according to The Sun.

The five-man team mysteriously vanished during the 2012 Games but were tracked down to a gym in New Cross by the newspaper. The quintet are living together in a one-room bedsit and are now planning to seek asylum when their visas expire in November.

"We love Britain and want to stay," said light flyweight Thomas Essomba. "We want to meet the Queen and Wayne Rooney. We want to become champions and fulfil our dreams.

"If we go home our government says we'll never box again."

All five of the fighters lost their bouts at the Games, while Cameroon failed to pick up a medal in any sport.
