Nicola Adams "excited" ahead of all-British flyweight final

England's Nicola Adams says that she is "looking forward" to facing Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh in the women's flyweight final at the Commonwealth Games.

Nicola Adams has admitted that she is feeling "excited" ahead of tomorrow's women's flyweight Commonwealth Games gold-medal showdown with fellow British boxer Michaela Walsh.

The 31-year-old, who won gold at the London Olympics in 2012, convincingly beat Canada's Mandy Bujold in the semi-final at the SECC earlier today to book her spot in the final.

"I'm really thankful for the support and I'm so looking forward to tomorrow now," Adams told BBC Sport. "I'm excited. Once I got my range and got my timing I started picking up the points. The final will be a cracking fight. The rumble in the jungle starts tomorrow."

Northern Ireland's Walsh was awarded a split-decision victory over Pinki Rani of India.
