Team England boxer Scott Fitzgerald has admitted that he was not too pleased with his own performance despite advancing into the final of the Commonwealth Games on Friday.
Fitzgerald booked his spot in the final of the men's welterweight division with a victory over South African Tulani Mbenge - an opponent that Fitzgerald described as "really tricky".
As a result, Fitzgerald will meet India's Mandeep Jangra in the final of the competition on Saturday.
"I was sloppy myself at times. The type of fighter he is, really tricky and he really dragged me into it. I threw a few wild shots. It was hard to work inside, but I got the job done," he told Sports Mole.
Fitzgerald won all three rounds against Mbenge.
