Anthony Ogogo has become the seventh British boxer to qualify for the London Olympics, following a convincing victory in the final qualifying tournament in Trabzon.
The 23-year-old from Lowestoft beat Vitali Bandarenka of Belarus 14-7 in their middleweight semi-final.
Ogogo said: "I always knew if I got myself fully fit and free from injury then I could compete with the best in the world. It will be a dream come true to represent Great Britain in a home Olympics.
"It's been a long, hard journey to get this far but I have qualified now so my focus is going to be all about getting back in the gym, working hard, listening to the coaches and doing everything I can to be successful at the Olympics."
Team GB had eight qualifiers in Beijing four years ago and, depending on results, they could again match that feat.
Light-heavyweight Callum Smith, who was beaten 16-14 by Azerbaijan's Vatan Huseynli, will still qualify if Huseynli beats Turkey's Bahram Muzaffer in the final today.
