New Zealand boxer Leroy Hindley has revealed that he is "feeling good" after advancing into the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games.
The Light Welterweight booked his spot in the last eight with a powerful display against Rashield Williams – a clash that was stopped in the third round by the referee.
"Yeah I am feeling good. I felt really strong. I enjoyed that one a lot better than my last fight because it wasn't as much of a brawl. I could box a bit more and I felt more comfortable that way," he told Sports Mole. "I wasn't really trying to end it, but I wanted to get some big shots in."
Findley also said that it was "massive" to reach the last eight and thanked Scotland for their support.
"It is massive. I didn't think I would get this far to be honest. It is awesome getting to the quarter-finals," he added. "It is absolutely awesome. Scotland has really been so welcoming. I feel at home here."
Hindley's next fight is on Tuesday.
