Ricky Burns: 'I'm ready for anything'

WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns insists that he will be 100% focused when he defends his world title against Raymundo Beltran on Saturday night.

WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns believes that his supporters are in for a "real treat" when he faces Raymundo Beltran on Saturday night.

Burns is defending his world title for the fourth time, and he has insisted that he will be prepared for anything that the 32-year-old Mexican throws at him in Glasgow.

The 30-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Boxing is my job, that is the way I have always looked at it. I don't treat any fight any different, I always give 100% in the gym and I know that I will be prepared for whatever happens on the night.

"And I am going to need that because I can see this being a hard 12 rounds. Raymundo is a great fighter and I think the fans are in for a real treat. They are expecting a sell-out crowd so I am looking forward to fighting in Glasgow again."

Burns goes into the bout with a professional record of 36 wins from 38 fights, while Beltran has 28 successes from 34 encounters.
