Dereck Chisora: 'Anthony Joshua fight will always be there'

Dereck Chisora insists that a domestic heavyweight showdown with Anthony Joshua will always remain a possibility.

Dereck Chisora has claimed that Anthony Joshua will look to fight him in the summer should he defeat IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin.

The two British heavyweights looked on collision course earlier this year but after failing to agree terms, Joshua has landed a world title clash against Martin and Chisora will meet Kubrat Pulev for the European belt.

However, Chisora has insisted that a fight with the 2012 Olympic gold medallist remains on the table and has predicted that a showdown will take place later in 2016.

The 32-year-old told Sky Sports News: "It's always going to be there. When he wins, he's going to ask to fight me or David Haye.

"It's always going to be there. It's a fight which none of us can hide away from but it has to be on great terms for both parties."

Joshua faces Martin at London's O2 Arena on April 9, but a date and venue for Chisora's next outing are yet to be announced.
