British middleweight Chris Eubank Jr has claimed that Billy Joe Saunders is intimidated ahead of their encounter in London on Saturday night.
Saunders is defending his British, Commonwealth and European belts against Eubank Jr, but despite their contrasting experience inside the ring, the challenger believes that the former Olympian is wary of his ability.
The 25-year-old told Buncey's Boxing Podcast: "He's intimidated. This facade - he's smiley, jokey, having a bit of a laugh, but deep down it's just an act. He knows what's coming.
"He's got that awkward smile about him that tells me he's not ready. He's not ready for the firepower. My training has been perfect, my sparring has been great, I've been getting personal bests in my sprints, I'm fully fit and ready to cause havoc."
Saturday's bout at the ExCel Arena will also act as a final eliminator for the WBO title.
