Chris Eubank Jr opponent named for British title bout

Chris Eubank Jr will defend his British middleweight title against Tom Doran at London's O2 Arena on June 25.

Tom Doran has been announced as Chris Eubank Jr's opponent for his return to Matchroom Sport at London's O2 Arena on June 25.

Last month, Doran was involved in one of the fights of the year so far, recovering from a first-round knockdown against Luke Keeler to stop his opponent in the second round, and he has now received the biggest opportunity of his career against British middleweight champion Eubank.

The 26-year-old parted ways with Matchroom at the start of the year in order to compete for the British crown, which he won against Nick Blackwell in March, but he has now returned to feature on the show headlined by Anthony Joshua's world heavyweight title clash with Dominic Breazeale.

Eubank has won 22 of his 23 fights in the paid ranks, while Doran is undefeated in 17 outings as a professional.
