Carl Froch "ready for war" with George Groves

Carl Froch says that he is "ready for war" ahead of this Saturday's rematch with George Groves at Wembley.

Carl Froch has said that he will be "ready for war" when he meets George Groves at Wembley this Saturday.

'The Cobra' squares off against the Londoner in a rematch of their November 2013 clash, when Froch controversially stopped his opponent in the ninth round.

However, Froch has claimed that this weekend's bout will be "more brutal" than their first meeting, and believes that the clash won't go the allotted 12 rounds.

"I'm ready for way," the Nottingham fighter told Sky Sports News. "I'm prepared and I am ready for war this Saturday.

"I'm coming for it and I'm going to leave everything in the ring. My heart, my soul, my blood, my sweat and my tears if necessary, it's all going in there because my whole 12-year career has been focusing on this point.

"To fight in front of 80,000 people, in a stadium of this size, is beyond my wildest dreams. George Groves can say what he wants, it's just noise. This fight isn't going to go the distance. I finished him off in round nine before, and made his face look like a panda. I brutally hit [him] with some heavy shots, wore him down and tore him up really. This time it's going to be more brutal."

Froch is the current IBF and WBA world super middleweight champion.
