Tyson Fury to face Sefer Seferi in comeback fight

Former IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury will face 39-year-old Albanian Sefer Seferi in his comeback fight on June 9.

Tyson Fury will face 39-year-old Albanian Sefer Seferi in his comeback fight on June 9.

Fury will make his long-awaited return to the ring after a two-and-a-half-year absence next month, beginning a bid to win back his IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight titles.

The 29-year-old remains unbeaten in the ring, being forced to surrender the belts he held after stunning Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 following a battle with depression and claims of drug abuse.

Fury has already set his long-term sights on dethroning Anthony Joshua, but he will begin his comeback against Seferi, who is a career cruiserweight with only one defeat to his name - a September 2016 loss to Manuel Charr at heavyweight.

The bout will take place over 10 rounds at the Manchester Arena, and will be Fury's first with new trainer Ben Davison.
