British welterweight Amir Khan has indicated that he is willing to fight IBF champion Kell Brook next summer.
Earlier this year, Khan dismissed the opportunity to face his rival at Wembley Stadium, but the former Olympic silver medallist has revealed that he has held talks with Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn regarding a potential showdown in 2016.
The 28-year-old told The National: "Eddie sent me a text and I invited him to Bolton. We had a meeting at my office and we discussed everything for a potential fight against Brook in 2016.
"I have made it clear to Eddie that I want this fight to be a big fight worldwide, not just in the UK. I told him Kell needs to fight a couple of big names and beat them, obviously. That will make our fight even bigger.
"The fight will be a Khan Promotions and Matchroom Promotions event in the UK, at Wembley Stadium."
Khan is expected to make his next appearance no earlier than November, while Brook is scheduled to feature in Sheffield, potentially on October 24.
