Anthony Ogogo aiming for summer return

British middleweight Anthony Ogogo reveals that he hopes to make his return from two Achilles operations during the summer.

British middleweight Anthony Ogogo has revealed that he is currently on schedule to return to action in the summer.

Ogogo hasn't fought since July after undergoing two operations on his Achilles, but the Olympic bronze medallist is hopeful that he can continue his blossoming career later this year.

The 26-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I've had really destabilising injuries for the last four or five years now. I had an operation in September which didn't work. If anything, it exacerbated the injury.

"I had to go back in surgery in January and had a big clear out of both Achilles, both sides, and I'm back doing the rehab, working really hard.

"The quicker I can get back in the ring, the better. Hopefully that will be the summer, that's the plan. Fingers crossed I will carry on progressing smoothly back on my road to world domination, hopefully."

Ogogo has won his first seven fights in the paid ranks, four of which have come by stoppage.
