WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson has said that his late trainer Emmanuel Steward told him that he would defeat Chad Dawson and Tavoris Cloud.
The 35-year-old Haitian, who fights out of Canada, demolished Cloud over seven rounds in Montreal, just over three months since knocking out Dawson in the first round.
After the fight, 'Superman' said that he has "no problem" with Sergey Kovalev, although he first must deal with mandatory challenger Tony Bellew.
"I've beat two great champions of the light heavyweight division in three, four months," Stevenson told HBO.
"When I was at 168, Manny told me if I ever got the chance to fight Chad Dawson and Tavoris Cloud to do it. Now I have my mandatory but I have no problem [with facing Kovalev]."
The Russian scored a fourth-round stoppage victory over Nathan Cleverly in August.
