American super-middleweight Andre Ward has insisted that he would have no problem in agreeing to a high-profile showdown with Gennady Golovkin.
The duo arguably sit in the second and third spots behind Floyd Mayweather Jr in the pound-for-pound rankings, and Ward, the WBA champion, has revealed that he is prepared to face Golovkin, who holds the same belt at 160lbs.
The 31-year-old told the International Business Times: "I'm ready. If you really want to fight, less talking in the media. Let's get the network (HBO) involved, let's put it in their hands, put it in our team's hands. Andre Ward is available and we can make it happen.
"If you look at my track record, I've always been ready and willing to fight everybody."
Ward recently defeated Paul Smith in his first outing in 19 months, while Golovkin has made it known that he is eager to feature in a huge fight after missing out on meeting Carl Froch.
