Filipino light-flyweight Mark Barriga has beaten the taller Manuel Cappai of Italy to advance to the last 16.
The Filipino got the better of his opponent in the opening exchanges, using his speed to counter Cappai's lunging attacks and take a 5-2 lead.
Cappai received a standing count in the first round, but came out with more purpose in the second.
However, he had no answer to Barriga's slick counter-punching and the Filipino was leading by five points as they entered the final three minutes.
Barriga continued to produce dazzling hand speed and Cappai could hardly land a glove on him as he fell to a 17-7 defeat.
