Sandy Ryan: 'I still need to improve'

Team GB boxer Sandy Ryan admits that she made mistakes during her semi-final bout with Anastasiia Beliakova at the 2015 European Games.

Team GB boxer Sandy Ryan has claimed that she will be 'working on keeping her shape' following her defeat in the semi-finals of the 2015 European Games.

The 21-year-old lost to Anastasiia Beliakova in the last-four stage of the tournament on Thursday, and has admitted that she made mistakes during the bout.

Beliakova also beat Ryan in the final of the 2014 World Championships, but the Brit has insisted that she has improved since that bout in South Korea.

"I have improved a lot, but I am going to be working on keeping my shape, because I lost shape quite a lot in that fight. It was still a close fight," she told reporters.

Ryan beat Cindy Rogge and Elena Vystropova in Baku to advance to the semi-finals.
