Hungary's Kozak wins kayak 500m gold

Hungary's Danuta Kozak wins gold in the kayak 500m sprint at the European Games in Baku, beating Team GB's Rachel Cawthorn.

Hungary's Danuta Kozak has won the kayak K1 500m gold, in a time of 2:03.569.

Kozak created a convincing lead with 200m to go, but was nearly pegged back by Austria's Yvonne Schuring and Poland's Ewelina Wojnarowska, who won silver and bronze respectively.

Team GB's Rachel Cawthorn finished eighth in a time of 2:08.483.

Germany's Verena Hantl won the B final in 2:07.071, with Ireland's Jennifer Egan finishing sixth to claim 15th place overall.
