Uncapped leg spinner Fawad Ahmed has been included in Australia's 17-man squad for their Ashes tour in England this summer.
Ahmed has taken 48 wickets in the Sheffield Shield this season, and his good form has seen him chosen ahead of Ashton Agar as the team's backup spinner.
Batsman Adam Voges, who has hit 1,358 domestic runs, has also been selected, but there is no place for World Cup stars Glenn Maxwell and James Faulkner.
Fast bowler James Pattinson has been ruled out of their tour to the West Indies in June, but he could be added to the Ashes party if he recovers from a hamstring injury.
Michael Clarke will captain the side, while World Cup stars Mitchell Starc, Steve Smith, David Warner and Mitchell Johnson are also included.
The first Test begins in Cardiff on July 8.
