Australia coach Darren Lehmann fined for Stuart Broad comments

Australia coach Darren Lehmann is fined by the ICC following his recent comments regarding Stuart Broad.

Australia coach Darren Lehmann has been fined by the ICC following inappropriate comments made about Stuart Broad.

The 43-year-old must forfeit 20% of his match fee for the Oval Test after pleading guilty to a level two charge.

Lehmann had told an Australian radio station that he hoped the Australian public would "make it hard" for Broad in the next Ashes series, "make him cry and go home."

The comments, which have been defended by many as light-hearted banter, related to Broad's refusal to walk after edging to Michael Clarke in the Trent Bridge Test.
