Mitchell Johnson: 'Regaining Ashes is an unbelievable feeling'

Mitchell Johnson admits that he was nervous during Australia's Ashes series-clinching win in the third Test on Tuesday.

Mitchell Johnson has admitted that he was nervous during the third Ashes Test but said that Australia regaining the urn is an "unbelievable feeling".

The hosts dominated the first and second Tests before Johnson took the crucial final wicket in the third match to clinch a 150-run victory in Perth to end a run of three-straight defeats when competing for the urn.

"I was a bit nervous for a while there but we came out after lunch and gave it everything," Johnson told reporters. "To finally win the Ashes is very special.

"It was pretty hard running in to keep my emotions in check. It's an unbelievable feeling.

"I came back from injury and had a lot of doubters, but I've come back and taken my chance. We are a real unit and everyone has worked hard for this."

The win ends Australia's run of 1,577 days without the urn, following England's victory in August 2009.
