Brendon McCullum's century for Chennai Super Kings was enough to see off Sunrisers Hyderabad in their Indian Premier League match.
The Super Kings elected to bat first, as Mahendra Dhoni's game plan to set a big target for David Warner to chase paid off.
McCullum's unbeaten ton and Dhoni's half century saw the hosts make up a commanding total of 209-4, with Dwayne Smith (27) and Suresh Raina (14) both run out in search of some quick runs.
Ravindrasinh Jadeja was also run out for a duck, facing just the one ball.
Warner, who captained Sunrisers for the first time, was able to match Dhoni's 50 but was caught by Smith off of the bowling of Ishwar Pandey, taking out Hyderabad's talisman.
The loss of Warner saw the visitors push to make up the runs but ultimately made mistakes by trying to reach their target of 210 runs.
The Australian's side ran out of overs and finished on a total of 164-6, leaving Dhoni's Super Kings to pick up the victory with 45 runs to spare.
