Trevor Bayliss excited ahead of Ashes series

Trevor Bayliss admits that he is looking forward to being involved in an Ashes series after replacing Peter Moores as England coach.

Trevor Bayliss has revealed that he won't alter his usual methods after being appointed as England coach.

On Wednesday, Bayliss will arrive in England ahead of the Ashes series with Australia, and the former Sri Lanka chief is hopeful of continuing the progress made during the recent limited-overs series with New Zealand, which England won 3-2.

The 52-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "I'm looking forward to being involved in an Ashes series. It should be fun. I will just be doing things how I have done with the previous cricket teams that I have been involved with and hopefully that leads to England playing some good cricket.

"The series with New Zealand has been exciting. Some new, hungry players with plenty of skill and enthusiasm have been introduced, so it sounds like everyone is in a good place and enjoying themselves."

The first Test match begins in Cardiff on July 8.
