England coach Andy Flower has hinted that there will be major changes following their Ashes whitewash at the hands of Australia.
The hosts completed a 5-0 clean sweep with victory inside three days at Sydney, bowling England out for 166 to secure a 281-run triumph.
Several young players featured for Alastair Cook's side at the SCG, including three debutantes, and Flower has suggested that more fresh faces will be introduced in the near future, perhaps at the expense of some long-serving stars.
"This feels like the end of an era," Flower told Sky Sports News. "It's a chance for a renewal of the English cricket team
"This wasn't good enough and there will be changes."
Flower's own position was under question following the disappointing results, but it has been confirmed by ECB chief executive David Collier that he will stay on as England team director.
