Ian Bell: 'England must not become complacent'

Ian Bell believes that England must not relax after ending a long wait for a Test match victory against India in Southampton.

Ian Bell has warned his England teammates that they cannot afford to become complacent ahead of the fourth Test against India at Old Trafford.

A comfortable triumph in the third Test in Southampton saw the hosts level the series with their first victory in the longest format for almost a year, but Bell insists that it is crucial the players are fully prepared for the next challenge.

"It was a good five days for us and it's nice to reflect on that, but it's just the start for pushing along in the series," the batsman told Sky Sports News.

"It's feet on the ground time. We had a good five days but that's all. We have to start all over again and do the hard work all over again.

"We know what's ahead of us - India are a quality side. We have to do well on Thursday, and then have five more good days and back up that good performance at Southampton. We're all excited about that challenge again."

The Test at Old Trafford will be followed by the final match of the series at The Oval, which begins on August 15.
