Steven Finn has said that England had to work hard to take wickets against India.
India finished the day with just one wicket remaining, and a lead of only 32 runs.
The 23-year-old bowler told Sky Sports News: "It was hard for us to get that first wicket but we stuck to our guns and we stuck to the plans we have worked towards in the series and that paid off.
"At lunch we said that we needed to up it a bit. We needed to focus on how we wanted to get the batsmen out.
"We got lucky with the run-out and we had a very good ball first up after lunch."
Finn is playing his first Test of the tour, having missed the first two with a thigh injury.
