Moeen Ali plans to join up with England squad for second West Indies Test

Moeen Ali reveals that he intends to join up with England for their second Test against West Indies after recovering from a side injury.

Moeen Ali has revealed that he intends to join up with the England squad for their second Test against West Indies in Grenada.

Peter Moores's side fly out to the Caribbean today without Ali after he suffered a side injury during England's defeat to Bangladesh in the World Cup last month.

In preparation for the Test, Ali will play in Worcestershire's opening County Championship match against Yorkshire on April 12.

The 27-year-old told ESPN: "I'm hoping to play that game against Yorkshire, prove my fitness and fly immediately afterwards."

Meanwhile, Moores has insisted that England outcast Kevin Pietersen is not on their "radar" for selection.
