England bowler James Anderson is confident that teammate Stuart Broad can shake off his recent run of bad form and put in a strong performance for the remainder of the series in India.
The vice-captain is thought to be suffering from a lack of confidence after failing to claim a wicket in 12 overs in Mumbai, where England snatched a 10-wicket win over India.
"Some players do go through bad form and he has been through that," Anderson told BBC Radio Five Live. "He is a strong character and I am sure he will bounce back.
"I'm not sure [if he is harder to drop because he's vice-captain]. You've still got to pull your weight on the field. Luckily they're not my decisions to make."
England head into the third Test in Calcutta on 1-1 in the series.
