James Anderson signs a new contract with Lancashire County Cricket Club, extending his stay to the end of 2015.

England bowler James Anderson has extended his stay with Lancashire County Cricket Club by signing a new contract.

The 31-year-old, who made his debut for the Red Rose in 2002, has added one year to his current deal, which will now expire at the end of the 2015 campaign.

"I am always proud to wear the Lancashire shirt and I am delighted to extend my stay," said Anderson.

Director of cricket Mike Watkinson added: "Jimmy has been an outstanding player and a great ambassador for the club. It is great to see him play for us when his international duties allow him to and we are pleased that he has signed a new deal for Lancashire."

The fast bowler has nabbed more than 300 wickets in a 10-year England career.
