Steven Finn: 'England better placed to win in United Arab Emirates'

England bowler Steven Finn believes that England are better equipped to deal with the conditions in the United Arab Emirates than they were three years ago.

Steven Finn has insisted that the current England side is better than the one that toured the United Arab Emirates three years ago.

In 2012, England were whitewashed 3-0 in the Test series against their Pakistani counterparts.

However, ahead of their return to the Middle East next month, bowler Finn has stressed that England are much better equipped to deal with the conditions.

"I think we are far more adept at dealing with the things that will be thrown at us on this tour than we were on the last tour," the 26-year-old told the ECB's official website.

"We were caught a bit cold on the last tour with the playing of spin and the bowling that was required to take 20 wickets out there.

"I think we have got a lot more skills that the guys have learnt over the last few years and I think that will stand us in good stead."

Finn took 12 wickets upon his return to the Test team during The Ashes earlier this summer.
