England coach Andy Flower has urged Kevin Pietersen to reveal the content of the controversial text messages that he sent to members of the South Africa side.
Pietersen has been involved in a long-running feud with the ECB, with a number of issues causing the batsman to clash with the board, bringing his international future into doubt.
However, Pietersen is set to have talks with Flower, as well as captain Andrew Strauss. Flower believes that, although the text message saga isn't the only issue which needs resolving, revealing the details of the texts would be a start.
"I understand some people would like this resolved overnight," he said.
"I don't think it is something that can be resolved overnight if we want to go about it properly. There are a number of outstanding issues to be resolved.
"An example of that would be finding out exactly what these text messages contained, if we do really want to move forward either way."
Pietersen, who was dropped for England's ultimately unsuccessful third Test against South Africa, was also omitted from their squad for the Twenty20 World Cup today.
