Angelo Mathews: 'Sri Lanka not out of Test'

Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews believes that his side are not out of contention despite trailing by 389 runs with just one day still to play against England.

Angelo Mathews has said that Sri Lanka are not out of their Test match against England, despite trailing by 389 runs at the end of day four.

Gary Ballance hit his maiden Test century for the hosts as they reached 267-8 at the close of play earlier this evening.

The Sri Lanka captain told BBC Sport: "Until Ballance and [Chris] Jordan got together, we had a chance. I'm not saying we're out of the game, but we have to bat sensibly."

The tourists were all out for 453 in their first innings.
