England batsman Kevin Pietersen admits that there are "obstacle" regarding his future in Test cricket.

Kevin Pietersen has refused to rule out the possibility of retiring from international cricket at the end of the series against South Africa.

The England batsman sparked controversy earlier this summer by ending his limited-overs career on the international stage after a reported disagreement with the ECB.

However, Pietersen has now admitted that he will discuss his future after the third Test at Lord's and will not confirm that the current series is not his last one in an England shirt.

The 32-year-old said: "No, I can't give assurances. All will be discussed and we'll see what happens.

"There are obstacles and I'll decide what happens at the end of the next Test."

Pietersen insisted that he would "love to play for another three or four years in all forms of cricket" but his future involvement in the Indian Premier League is believed to be a pivotal point in the discussions.
