Graeme Swann claims four wickets to keep England in with a chance of claiming victory from their first Test match against Sri Lanka.

Graeme Swann took four Sri Lankan wickets during day two of the first Test to keep England in with a chance of claiming victory in Galle.

Visiting England removed the remaining Sri Lankan batsman from yesterday's first innings during the early stages of the day's play, eventually dismissing the hosts for 318.

Bowler James Anderson ended with five wickets, taking him to fifth in England's list of wicket takers.

In reply, England struggled to build partnerships as they were bowled out for 193 runs.

Ian Bell top scored for the away side with a score of 52, before he was bowled by Rangana Herath.

The Sri Lankan spin-bowler went on to claim six of England's wickets for the expense of 74 runs.

The home side lost five wickets from their second innings before the close of play, as Stuart Broad added to Swann's haul.

Sir Lanka will resume tomorrow on 84-5 and a lead of 209 runs.
