Graeme Swann has decided to avoid any debate about the bowling action of Pakistani spinner Saeed Ajmal.
The Englishman's spin counterpart has been questioned over his action, which potentially breaches the International Cricket Council's permitted 15-degree straightening of the bowling arm.
He took seven wickets on the first day and ten in the whole match as Pakistan trounced England in the first Test in Dubai.
Swann, writing in the The Sun, said that there has been no discussion of the issue in the England dressing room. "Some people are talking about Ajmal's action but it's not a topic of conversation in our dressing room," he explained. "Spinners - especially those who bowl the doosra - have eagle eyes watching them.
"But it's not up to us to say it is not a fair delivery. We have to play the ball that comes down to us and if there is anything wrong with his action, I'm sure the ICC would pick up on it.
"I have tried to bowl a doosra but I just can't do it without bending my elbow."
The second Test begins on Wednesday.
