Graeme Swann: 'Kevin Pietersen's reaction to Matt Prior's comments childish'

Graeme Swann describes Kevin Pietersen as "childish" after the batsman reacted to Matt Prior's comments that the England dressing room will be better without him.

Former England bowler Graeme Swann has described Kevin Pietersen's reaction to Matt Prior's recent comments as "childish".

The wicketkeeper recently admitted in a question and answer session in Dubai that the dressing room will be a better place without Pietersen, who was dropped by the ECB after England's Ashes defeat.

The batsman responded on Twitter by saying: "Fewer Q&A's, more Sussex nets methinks, @MattPrior13! #josbuttler."

Swann told BBC Radio Five Live: "It's another disappointing episode. Matt's been a bit naive, but he's said some things he believes in.

"Kev's come back in a childish way. I'm sure he's still got his number and could've phoned him up, but gone are the days of phoning someone up and thrashing it out. Now it involves a million people on Twitter these days."

Swann retired from international cricket in December.
