MS Dhoni: "We should have won the game"

India's MS Dhoni believes that his side should have overcome South Africa in the one-day international between the two teams earlier today.

MS Dhoni has insisted that India "should have won" their one-day international against South Africa earlier today.

It seemed that the hosts would reach their victory target of 304 runs with Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma at the crease, but when those two were dismissed for 60 and 150 respectively, India could only reach 298-7 from their 50 overs.

"The outcome was not great for us. There were quite a few things that went wrong, but I think we showed great character to fight on this wicket. We should have won the game," wicketkeeper Dhoni said during his post-match interview.

The result means that the Proteas have now won three of the last four ODIs between the two nations.
