The Kolkata Knight Riders continued their 100% record at the Champions League Twenty20 this evening, defeating the Dolphins by 36 runs in Hyderabad.
Gautam Gambhir won the toss for the Knight Riders, who had already qualified for the semi-final stage of the tournament, and elected to bat.
Opener Gambhir was gone in the fourth over for 12 runs before Jacques Kallis (6) soon followed in the next.
After that Robin Uthappa (85*) and Manish Pandey (76*) put on an unbeaten third-wicket stand of 153 runs, with the Knight Riders setting the Dolphins a victory target of 188 to win.
Dolphins opener Cameron Delport fell in the opening over and the underdogs, who are still without a win in the competition, never looked like getting anywhere near the total required.
Andile Phehlukwayo finished as their top scorer with 37 runs off just 18 balls.
