Yorkshire seamer Jack Brooks has admitted that winning the County Championship on Friday was the best day of his life.
Brooks, who has taken 64 wickets so far this season, was quick to pay tribute to the attitude of his fellow bowlers after securing the title on an emotional final day of their match with Nottinghamshire.
"It's hard to put into words, it's unbelievable," the 30-year-old told Sky Sports News. "I've been crying for five-10 minutes already. It's a career highlight and best day of my life so far without a doubt, just unbelievable.
"All we have to do is our jobs at one end and the other guy at the other end is [going] to be busting his gut for you. This year has worked out perfectly and I can't put into words how happy I am."
Yorkshire head coach Jason Gillespie has claimed that his side's ruthlessness was a key factor behind their success.
