Cricket agent Mazhar Majeed has had his appeal against a jail sentence for his involvement in Pakistan's spot-fixing case dismissed.
The agent was sentenced to two years and eight months in jail after being found guilty for orchestrating the high profile match-fixing scandal alongside former Pakistan captain Salman Butt as well as Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir.
Butt, who was handed a 32-month sentence, remains behind bars following his dismissed appeal in November last year.
Meanwhile, Asif was released earlier this month after serving half of his one-year sentence while Amir was allowed to leave prison after completing just half of a six-month jail sentence for his involvement in the case.
The scandal was uncovered by a British tabloid newspaper in 2010, which claimed that the Pakistan trio deliberately bowled no-balls during specific overs of the Pakistan Test match against England at Lord's.
