Pakistan batsman Younis Khan has insisted that it is the "right time" for him to retire from one-day cricket.
The 37-year-old announced his decision to retire earlier this week ahead of the first ODI against England in Abu Dhabi, and bowed out with a score of nine as Pakistan won by six wickets.
Khan insists that he is still in good enough condition to play one-day cricket, but believes that his age means that it is the correct time to walk away.
"I think this is the right time for me, I'll leave some legacy that Younis Khan is still in good shape and if you want he can still play one-day cricket - but for me this is the right time," he told reporters.
"I will be 38 in five or six days so this is the right time to quit one-day cricket."
Khan ends his career as Pakistan's sixth-highest run-scorer in the 50-over format having made 7,249 runs in 265 matches over his 15-year career.
